Ooh am excited now ! Wonder if it is the Kylo book? It definitely sounds book related for Del Rey to be involved .

This is interesting. Only part of a year? Still doesn't mean they won't milk the cash cow about the ST character between TLJ and TROS for all it's worth. Seems like the time gap isn't huge.

I’ve just seen it on twitter too - I think majority of people here (and also possibly reylos on Twitter) have been saying time jump will be max one-year-long - it makes most sense too: allows the ST to last longer than a few days/weeks, it’s not long enough for Renperor to have unsatisfying redemption due to more atrocities committed or for the Resistance to fully recover, and it’s short enough for Benperor to play out before the First Order turns on him or for Rey and Kylo to still be emotional over their latest encounter etc.

@nana7marie Yeah, I guessed no more than a year, we've heard rumors of a year, and here they're implying a year or less. Which is good, those "five years later" things some people wanted so Kylo could become the big bad Supreme Leader. Remember when people wanted Rey to have a legion of little Jedi trainees? Good times. That line of thinking completely died out within months after TLJ.

It's coming from a bunch of places, but upcoming SW trilogy movie dates post-TROS.

Dunno if this is D&D or Rian. I hope Rian, since D&D said themes are for 8th grade book reports. Also GoT has been sending people into an absolute rage over the past few years in particular for a host of reasons. I'd rarely seen Twitter on fire over a TV episode the way I did two days ago.

Also Disney is doing Avatar sequels in the off years so they don't complete with themselves. That's not even counting the third GotG. Really, Disney does kind of own all the major space opera franchises, since Trek is dormant on the big screen right now. Honestly, I'm glad we get a break, they learned they can't do the every year thing. It will keep SW feeling like an event.

Disney are doing a pretty good job with SW, but I have to admit it worries me a little to see one company owning so many franchises.

No, it’s fan-made, albeit very well - the youtuber who posted it is also the author.

If so, everything seems to be going better than we actually expected!

It's from TLJ, that artwork just wasn't used very often on packaging. He's wearing his TLJ cape.

It's a reflection from his lightsaber. We're way too far away from the film for new packaging, unfortunately.

This is the only packaging for TROS that can be found so far. They revealed a giant toy box at SWCC right after the trailer.

People could enter the box and take pictures of themselves in it.

I thought it looked curiously like a hybrid of TLJ and TROS. He's in the TLJ outfit, but we keep hearing about red troopers, and there was a possibly real leaked poster with a near-identical image of those same troopers on it. I just find it strange TLJ advertising never used this particular image to my recollection, but they bring it out now.
