You are incredible! This one is soooo besutiful. The rose was the Beast's humanity he was losing day by day and this is Kylo's humanity that Ray is looking at.

@vaderitovaderito wrote:well, losing blood comes after "you are a monstah".
Exactly!
I saw this before leaving for work this morning and I had very little time. I wanted to tell you exactly that, that she called him creature ( in a mask) and then monster. She called him "monster" because she refuses to accept he is human, she wants to see a monster and not a beautiful lost man-boy that breaks her heart and calls to her against her will. She tried to kill him because he is only human and she feels drawn to him. His blood is a sign of this but perhaps it's also a metaphor for that humanity he will lose if she also gives up on him like everybody he's loved before.
Who will dare to love a Beast? This is the challenge he poses for Rey and she freaks out, understandably. For the moment, Because she won't accept "it's him until chapter lll", LOL

I still can't believe you found this, this one is amazing. The subtle ones are the ones I enjoy most and this one is pure gold.

I don't even know if they made any parallels. I'm thinking more and more than there's no intention but things somehow look like something. recent events turned me off thinking that there's an actual intention to many things that look like they are intended.

Re: Easter Eggs in Reylo Scenes
Some may be coincidences but many are not. This is the way stories are crafted, the more crafted the framework is the more satisfying it becomes. A good story is like embroidery or a tapestry and every stitch, every knot matters. If this "easter egg" was something isolated it could be a coincidence but there are far too many, so I think it's deliberate.
Why have we been analysing this movie for months? I have never spent so much time analysing a movie before. In my case it's because of all this themes and references. It's like an intrincate tapestry that appears simple and compelling but when you examine it in detail you notice how much work and how much care was taken to make it.

I think it could be the case of lucky coincidences. JW thing, for example, showed that he was guided by one idea but because that idea is generally similar to another idea, some people gave it that different interpretation. Which was wrong at least from what intention was POV. It looked like one thing but was inspired by another.

I never paid too much attention to the music myself, perhaps because I am not especially good at catching musical references.Music is very important in movies but I am not the right person to analyse it because I'm too ignorant in that department. Anyway, there's only so much Williams can say, and the same applies to all the people involved in this creative process. They can't speak freely, which doesn't mean they are liars, they just have to avoid spoilers.
But I don't believe in lucky coincidences when there are several hints pointing in the same direction. One apparent hint may be a coincidence but several hints indicating the same thing establish a pattern and a pattern is never coincidental. That withered rose and that bell can't be coincidental so when you add those blood drops that resemble the the red rose's petals and Rey has called Kylo monster (because Beast would be too obvious) there's no way that wasn't deliberate. Don't forget what Maz said when the FO ships arrived in Takodana (and one of those ships, the biggest one, was Kylo's). She said they were beasts. How can all this be a coincidence. She said the beasts were coming. Why did she call the beasts? There are better words for them than that. But their commander was Kylo and the Beast was coming. She used the plural but the reference is there. If you put them together there are enough to establish a pattern, IMO.

@Reynak Withered rose and the bell are Easter Eggs cause Disney movie, not sure about "those beasts are here" and "you are a monstah" + blood combo. Looks nice, though.

Re: Easter Eggs in Reylo Scenes
Looks beautiful. We may never get a confirmation or denial on whether they are coincidences or not, unfortunately, but I tend to believe those ones are deliberate. Of course not all the references we see in movies and stories are deliberate but I'd bet these ones are. Anyway, we'll probably never get an answer to this question and they look amazing, they make too much sense to be just lucky.

This maybe just a coincidence but isn't that the beginning of Snow White started with during winter time the Queen accidentally cut her finger and upon seeing the blood on the snow she then wish to have a daughter skin as white as snow, lip red as blood, hair as black as ebony.
For some reason it sounds eerily like a description of Kylo in this case though

Re: Easter Eggs in Reylo Scenes
I do like thinking of Kylo as Snow White because he isn't just Hades, he's Persephone to Snoke's Hades. He's both the lost prince and the monster, a fascinating contradiction of fairytale tropes that explains why we're still trying to figure him out months later. Like the film editor said, he's a lost boy, but he hides himself under a scary mask and tries to emulate what he thinks his grandfather was.
Rey calling him a 'monster' is definitely supposed to reinforce the beauty and the beast dynamic. That's act one in a nutshell. Next movie has to humanize him for her.

Re: Easter Eggs in Reylo Scenes
He does look like Snow White and is separated from his family too, although for different reasons. And he is surrounded by 7 knights of Ren, LOL, unless they are 7 including him. This is true, but I still think the hints towards Beauty and the Beast are more in number and relevance because this couple is going to be another Beauty and the Beast story. It's not just about the references, easter eggs and hints, it's the theme itself.

Re: Easter Eggs in Reylo Scenes
The "What's girl?" part, Kylo is reaching out (to Force choke Mikata) from the left scene to the middle . In the next scene, Rey is also reaching out from the opposite side, right to middle. They are subconsciously reaching for each other, perhaps
