Favorite Images of Rey

What are your favorite gifs, images etc. of Rey??

This one is poignant.  I think it shows how difficult and lonely her life was.  Another moment I love (and cannot find a photo of) is the first time we see Unkar (under)pay her and she just dropped her eyes.  So much weariness in that facial expression.

I like that gif where Rey is staring back at Kylo after his "Marry Me" moment and there is *something* between them. If anyone has that gif, it would very cool to see.

I like that TPTB actually had Daisy look *dirty* while she was on Jakku.  Her clothes were grimy with pit stains and she was filthy.  I actually had a thought that one reason Rey was so uncomfortable when Kylo got close to her during the interrogation was because she was aware she wasn't exactly fresh and pleasant looking/smelling.  But she looks cleaner there, so I assume the Falcon has a shower?

Actually, can someone help me out here?  This disturbs my mind.

The Falcon has to have a shower. Han's hair always looked clean ... and seriously, teenage Ben and his hair ...There had to be an excellent shower. It might have had retro tiling, but I bet the water pressure and showerheads were fantastic ... right up there with the ones Kramer and Newman get on the black market on Seinfeld.

I like this particular shoot, Daisy looks so bright and beautiful

Is it this one, where she literally has to swallow her anger/resentment (and when you see her later licking her plate, it hints at how hungry she is)

I'm sorry but the difference between her face in the beginning and in the end is so poignant, Skywalkers upset people

That's pretty much why any of the "she should go full dark, be evil" type comments bother me. Like the poor woman has had a miserable life already, never takes for granted her personal safety or knowing when she'll get her next meager meal. She's already had a pretty f****ing dark life and suffered, don't shoehorn her into those scenarios because you think it would be cool. Part of me reads those comments and wonders if the people making them have ever experienced that type of insecurity/poverty. Not that a SW movie is going to dig into the details of what life is like for people under those circumstances (especially living in a society that treats poverty like a personal, moral failing).

Pre Kylo. Post Kylo she looks dire and ready to go at a moments notice.

This is one of my favorite quiet moments in TFA, and I love that they included little details like this:



This one says so much about the road ahead. And I love how BB-8 is looking up at Rey. ^^


A hero in the making.


I love this one because there is something almost regal about it. She's in this crappy backwater planet, she's dirty and hungry, seemingly without any prospects, but her bearing here goes against all that.  There is something soft and lovely there, but also strong. You look at her here and you know there's more to her.


Right out of a fairytale.

It took a real effort for her to let go of the first pile of food packets and draw her hand back. She glanced down at the inert droid, thinking hard.



"Actually, the droid's not for sale. I made a mistake." Willing herself to do so, she shoved the brace of food packets to the back of the transfer drawer.

Necroing this post but I have so very little occasion to fangirl about Daisy and Rey that I can't help

I was in Celebration and was lucky enough slept on hard concrete to be in the Galaxy stage when they unveiled these pictures and I kid you not that I almost cried. These two pics immediately went into my top 5 pictures of Rey. It's everything I love and hoped for the character. So many fans theorized that seeing rain for the 1st time would be a special moment for her and here it was, in the middle of the screen. I really can't wait to see more of Rey on Ahch-To.

I agree!  The "Rey getting to experience rain" has been a favorite trope in Reylo fanfics, and I was right there with you squeeling with glee when they put that still up on the screen.

ETA: With Rian cluing in on that, I wonder if we'll see the other big Rey trope at some point in TLJ: "Rey grew up on Jakku, and therefore, Rey never learned how to swim."

On another note, I think it's hilarious to see how gloomy Ahch-To looks in these shots. For those of us who followed the Ireland shoot as random bystanders were posting photos online, etc, the weather in Ireland was GORGEOUS over that stretch of a few weeks. I remember reports coming in of the weather "not cooperating" (because they weren't expecting sunny skies) and them having to bring in rain machines. I specifically remember them bringing in a rain machine to shoot some scene around the half-Falcon that they built, and I wonder now if that was to get that "Rey in the rain" shot that you posted.

The one where she's walking determinedly with her staff...I guess that could be early morning fog? (I recall reports of shooting starting at 6am on some days) or they could have brought in a fog machine or added effects.
