Guys, this discussion is really interesting but I can't contribute to the specifics because I've never seen Star Wars Rebels (and don't intend on watching), but I really wanted to make a post about the idea of Ben with anyone else, so I put it in Predictions because it has more to do with IX than anything else: Here it is.

The whole point here is basically realism versus narrative.

Realistically, yes, it's safe to bet that Ben and/or Rey dabbed a buy here and there. And having a bf/gf before meeting the love of your life doesn't cheapen the latter.

Narratively? Look, if you want to headcanon that Rey and Ben aren't virgins, there's wrong with that. I don't mind. Speaking for myself, though, it just makes zero sense story-wise. Rey and Ben's arcs are all about coming of age and sexual awakening - what's the point of all this if they aren't virgins and have a certain experience? It just cheapens how TLJ could be basically renamed Episode VIII: The Sex Awakens and no one would notice.

And it's not similar to Han and Leia at all: both of them always gave me a vibe of being experienced, and that's part of what made their interractions so great.

As I said, the above is really just my personal opinion. It's a-okay if you see things otherwise.

Yeah I think that's also the main point, Luke's fanboys would tell us the same, they don't think "Luke was like that, he couldn't do that, what happened to Luke in TLJ made no sense" because they also had a strong headcanon for Luke like the way we truly believe Kylo is a virgin boy. For Disney the sky is the limit, as a fan, the only thing we can hope is Disney has a good explanation to justify what they choose to do.

Well, my point is not characterization or headcanons. Virgin!Kylo isn't even a headcanon of mine I hold dear to. It's about story themes, coding and whatnot. My point was that Kylo as well as Rey's arc are all about sexual awakening/coming-of-age, and it seems to me that saying "oops, surprise, they aren't virgins!" is kind of "cheating" on that theme. Again, just my two cents.

I see, somehow I've lowered my expectation for Disney after what they did with Luke in TLJ, they will do what they need to do to expand the story, there is nothing mean "absolute logic" to them. I still fully expect that Kylo will have a happy ending with Rey in EP9, like how I believed that Kylo wouldn't get roasted by Snoke in TLJ, he's still the main character and the last Skywalker of this saga anw, but after that, I will settle myself as just a casual fan and follow his story that Disney expand in the future without being a fanatic fans like some of Luke's fanboys and harassing Disney about what they do with him.

About the finale of Rebels, I guess @vaderito can feel relieved now since she was so worried about the possibility of Kylo's secret baby yesterday.

I am just frustrated because apparently I can not watch Rebels in Norway. Viaplay has just season 1 and parts of season 2, Netflix season 1 only. I watched this on Viaplay.

I installed iTunes on my laptop but I am not allowed to buy from the American store (Why!?) I then went to Amazon Prime Video and apparently I have to be living in America to buy things there too. It allowed me to unlock the free 7 days trial, but when I tried to buy Rebels, it was over.
Is it something more I can try?

@Ramblingrose Did you try just to use VPN\proxy from another country, USA or UK? I'm from Eastern Europe and this is how I can access more shows on Netflix or buy things in other places. (But I don't know if it works on iTunes)

If you use Chrome, you can install free extension in browser (I use TouchVPN), choose country and you will see this version of website.

I had to Google what VPN and Proxy means.
The one I use now is Mozilla Firefox. It is my hubby who install things. I will discuss this with him when I'm home from work.
