To be honest, how the actors get on off screen isn't a problem with me, as long as they interact well on screen. There doesn't seem to be any animosity between Daisy and Adam, so that's fine.
Their private lives are none of my business.

But it's heartening for me that JJ has no intention of undoing everything Rian did.
And JJ gave us Reylo in the first place.

I'm pretty prepared for an even dumber narrative that TROS retconned TLJ, even if it doesn't. It's not the most convoluted thing, really it's not, it's amazing to watch people not comprehend anything beyond basic good v. evil. I have a feeling even some TLJ fans will throw fits over Reylo/Bendemption. Though I accepted this years ago, I've kind of come to terms with it, maybe I'll just let it wash over me and laugh at the absurdity.

She has always been the aggressor in any other fight they've had. I *thought* that she was the aggressor here too, but what do I know about fencing/sword fighting. Lol. In TFA we got enough footage to see that he was the defender, but here we get so little, so it's good to hear this from a choreographer.

I just hope that we will get better fight choreography than in TLJ.

seeing Kylo Ren in trailers, magazines, interviews etc., it seems to me that he is tired, he is not satisfied with what he has. Even during the fight with Rey in the trailer it seems to me that he says: I'm tired of fighting you, I just want to talk to you, even in the throne room, he is moving towards redemption.
I see kylo Ren as a man who wants to find his place, and live a quiet life, he has a very complex background, power is a dangerous thing, it attracts the worst and corrupts the best but I can't see it all ending with a fall and an end. He's a character too beloved and too good to end up like this.
I'd like to see a scene with him and Finn, maybe they'll overcome their differences ...

Why are they fighting? Maybe I lack imagination, but after TLJ, I'm still not convinced that Kylo would like to kill Rey, especially after some time and his acute rage from Crait have passed. Not so sure about her either, although it could be her mission within the Resistance to eliminate the Supreme Leader.

So, why are they fighting with lightsabers?

Maybe they’re both after the same McGuffin and need to get the other one out of the way long enough to get it?

I speculated about this in the spoiler thread at length, but simply put: yes to what you said about the MacGuffin. Rey *desperately* wants that MacGuffin (I believe against almost all reason), and Kylo *desperately* wants to prevent her from getting it, for her own protection. Hence why it looks like she's attacking him brutally and he's defending/deflecting.

That's just my theory right now though.
