This isn't the first time we've had that kind of issue with the like button, but we're currently discussing it. We'll keep you updated on any development.

I'm sorry I can't help myself. Don't mind me. I know you guys are working hard and I'm sure it'll be revolved soon. Still, if the "like" button is gone, I'll be sad. I also don't like the idea of being able to take away likes...

When I logged in today the whole format of the site was different. Like completely different. And disorienting. But I was able to figure out that I was in either mobile or app mode and switched it back to website mode and now it looks normal to me, sans the like button. I don't have that either.

I don't think this is a permanent change, I've had this temporary error before, and bigger issues even. Since last night clicking on my wall's messages to see likes leads me to the front page, even if the address bar says otherwise.

FWIW a very smart forum member snagged the domains reylo.net and reylo.org back in the run up to TLJ b/c this was likely to be one of the biggest topics around TLJ. So the IP address for this board is still the same, likely the larger infrastructure is going through software and server updates. But you can always bookmark those URLs for finding the site.

I’m using the mobile app now (which seems to have improved greatly since the last time I used it, as far as responding. However I’m no longer seeing any option whatsoever to like posts, even the green bar thingy. I’m wondering if this is something that’s now only available in classic mode?

@SheLitAFire It's definitely an interesting comment on how social media has already trained our brains for the gratification of Likes! But the IP address is the same so folks can just bookmark those shorter URLs (reylo.com is a Spanish window treatments company) to get here.

Dear Reylo Skyforum Members,

As you can probably tell, there have been some changes today:
1. Our domain name has changed from reylo.skyforum.net to reylo.forumotion.com. This is due to a system-wide update to the Forumotion platform. We are in the process of changing back to our original domain name, but in the meantime: as others have indicated, you can use reylo.net and reylo.org to redirect here. You can bookmark these pages to avoid losing your way.

2. Our "Like" button is missing. As a reminder, just like our "Mention" button, the "Like" button is not an original feature of this platform. It was code written especially for our forum, and system-wide updates to our platform occasionally require that the code for the "Like" button be updated as well.

We are working on getting these issues sorted out. In the meantime please carry on with giving each other positive feedback rather than "Likes" - this might be equally if not more appreciated!

You can also click on the + to indicate "liking" a post, but it will not be credited to you or tallied on the posts until the "Like" button is restored. We apologize for the inconvenience!

More updates soon.

The "like" button was restored for a short period of time, but now it's gone again. The staff will be working on getting it back again and we will keep you updated!

We are still working to sort out both our domain name and the 'Like' button coding. Until we can get this resolved (the delay is on the end of the platform, which requires a few business days to address domain name change requests) we are working to find an alternative. We will have more updates soon, stay tuned.

Seriously as a big liker in general, I feel like a fish out of water. I know you guys will figure it out!

Missing "Like" button, update 3:

We are still working to rig the system/finagle the bagel/improve on the platform in order to get our "Like" button + adapted notification system back in place.

In the meantime we are using Forumotion's native thumbs-up "Like" system. It allows users to upvote posts they like, and it will keep count of how many users have liked a post. Unfortunately it will not notify the poster that their post was liked, and it won't enable the poster to know who liked their post, as our previous system did. This is a temporary solution until we can get our old customized "Like" system up and running.

We thank you for your patience. Hang in there, hopefully we can solve this soon!

Sorry, I wasn't clear. Clicking on the thumb will "Like" a post. The function will track the number of "Likes" a post gets.
