I figure though if that faction gets Rey and Finn through FoD, and we get our Reylo through the films, I'm good with that...

Oy vey is right! But the two of them together are very kid friendly - which versus her scenes with Ben being decidely more adult together was another thing I couldn't shake after first viewing. It's not like they can show Rose and Paige yet, because that's the next movie. I am wondering how much fodder they can even wring out of  Rey & Finn's time together in TFA because there wasn't much down time in between the scenes they shared. I'm sure eventually there will be more of Leia as a mother. It's ridiculously overdue at this point (along with just more female characters in general) to just have some living functioning moms in that fictional universe.

But seriously, it used to only be guys/dads who you'd see out with their family in fandom related shirts. I see plenty of middle aged ladies grocery shopping in their Game of Thrones/Star Wars/etc shirts these days.

@Cowgirlsamurai - See? I think just in general the whole dead mom thing is a problem (and aargh, how are they going to handle Leia's character now that Carrie Fisher has passed away, we were hoping she'd break that mold) for SW and Disney. So it's way overdue, like I totally dig how Dame Harriet Walter just gets to turn up as a lady, just doing her thing, in both TFA and her character in Bloodline. Like she's nobody's mom, wife, girlfriend, et cetera. Just happens to be Leia's friend who's also the Resistance's main medical officer. Like that, plus how both she and Carrie Fisher are there are like eff you Hollywood and your ridiculous double standards, we're women of a certain age with grey hair and wrinkles and running the show.  Actually, can we get one of these shorts with her? Because Dame Harriet is a bad a** in general.

Moms having a nerd play date sounds awesome! I love seeing the Rey or young Leia merchandise out there in the wild, but they need to do some stuff for General Leia. Like get me a mom out shopping wearing that shirt with something like "From now on, you do what I tell you do."

There is the canon novel Ahsoka by E.K Johnston, which tells us about Ahsoka's life between order 66 and her joining the rebellion.

Agreed. Rey and Finn are totally a kiddie's cartoon adventure together so I'm not surprised they'll be a focus of one of these animated shorts for kids.

@Kessel - they're the Beautiful Friendship Gang! Like notice how they don't seem to have Han and Leia in one of these shorts? Because those two are for more mature audiences, same goes for all of the interaction Rey and Kylo have with each other. They might each get refereed to as One Boy and What Girl, but they're together they're not kids.

Yep, although like you said, I'm curious what their short will be about since they had so little down time in TFA and pretty much all their interactions in TFA looked like the stuff you'd see in these FoD shorts.
