Yep, he says it. I wish they had kept that in because sometimes people need words to confirm the obvious. Luke is all too aware of the effect his nephew can have on a young lady/what could happen if two young people connect even if they're on opposing sides (perhaps especially then). RJ’s commentary sounds amazing, I’ll be getting it real soon!

Probably because it would have ruined the surprise of the moment when Rey sees Kylo in person for the first time.

She's taking a huge risk by going to him, and doesn't know who or what will be waiting for her when she emerges from the escape pod. So by just showing Rey's perspective, the viewer is just as intrigued and uncertain.

I doubt it. I think he just likes to make statements like this just in case Reylo does happen in the end, so he can look back and say "See? I was open to it." He likes to cover all his bases. People like this acknowledge that we got a "What if" kind of Reylo in TLJ, but since Kylo didn't turn, it's over and will never be endgame.

Did Reylos really have a bad rap?? I'm not as long in the Reylo fandom as the most of you in this community and while I'm sure not everyone is a bright Rey of sunshine in our fandom... I'm positively surprised how nice and polite everyone is.

I joined Tumblr and Twitter only a short time ago...so I don't know how nasty things can get there. But I have the feeling it's mostly Reylo's defending themselves from Antis and not actively insulting or provoking others?

Jason Fry is so lovely - the way he communicates with fans and readers is adorable. He already responded twice to my tweets - which made me squeal because I'm freak.

I'll listen to the Knights of Rant podcast tomorrow- I think they weren't so fond of the Rose/Finn interactions... they didn't bother me so much but I'm sure the girls will made their points clear in their usual charming way

I have not experienced the bullying behavior that some Reylos have experienced since TFA came out.  I usually spend time in a very small segment of this fandom.  However, I did see Bryan's tweet and responded to it.  I don't agree with him about his view that romance was not there but I did notice someone who was bringing up the Kylo tortured Rey crap in his thread.  I thought about responding but just scrolled on by....it is obvious to me that Rey and Kylo are attracted to each other and have romantic feelings.  

So Rian's Q/A got Star Wars fandom a little salty huh?

Yeah, before TLJ or even before we got more and more evidence against Rey being a Skywalker or Solo I never discussed Rey's lineage with the Reywalkers or Solos- I politely changed the topic... just with diverse topics like religion in real life. I'm very open minded and even if I know someone is obviously wrong but there is no point in discussing because it would only lead to an endless debate that could get nasty (because I do have a temper at times).
