No, but seriously. Ever since I saw this scene I wrote over and over again how borderline pornographic it was; it made me think of Love by Gaspar Noé, especially the close-up of their fingers. But seriously, when I first heard about the hand scene I thought people were exaggerating about how intimate and sensual it was (I mean how intimate can simply touching hands really be? Pffft). But then I watched it and I was like "This does feel like a sex scene." If he's calling that a sex scene then what is the throne room scene haha? Especially because so many critics pointed out that it was the closest we'll get to one in Star Wars. And to think Reylos on tumblr were getting attacked by antis for making these same comparisons lol!

I thought the old OT quote (Kershner or Kasdan) was that kissing was sex in SW. I don’t think this precludes a future kiss scene between these two characters. With Luke barging in to break it up, this was definitely both a secret romantic tryst and wedding interrupted by someone with objections.
