Okay I saw this on Twitter and it made me laugh so hard. No real relevance to this discussion whatsoever, just the most hilarious out-of-context image from the Star Wars EU. Some WTF combo of Indiana Jones and Brian Jaques Redwall series.

It was already mentioned in the fan fatigue thread it’s Kelly Marie’s birthday today. I thought this was a heartfelt collage of great pics and genuine sentiment from Mark. However in the 10mins it’s been up I’ve already reported one comment and some others are not pleasant. It’s her birthday c’mon !!!

Guys, so Paul Thomas Anderson took over the Twitter account for Phantom Thread to do a Q&A (damn my being in meetings/errands for most of the day) and besides saying his two favorite Jonathan Demme movies were Stop Making Sense and Something Wild (mine too!), he dropped his thoughts on the ST



tl;dr - wildly creative director who's directed Daniel Day-Lewis' last performance (along with There Will Be Blood, Magnolia, Boogie Nights, The Master...) loves our space nerds and is excited to see what happens to them next.

Omg, first Spike Jonze now PTA!!! I'm living for these directors fanboying over Kylo/Adam and Reylo. Someone print this tweet out and send it to Adam. He's said that PTA is on the wish list of directors he wants to work with. Make it happen, Paul! Scorsese/Jarmusch/Nichols/Spielberg/Coens/Eastwood/Spike Lee/Gilliam/Soderbergh/Baumbach/Abrams/Johnson: that's quite the illustrious list and he only started acting a few years ago. It's a shame Fincher dissed Driver's casting as Kylo but I'm glad he came around and apologised. I want them to work together.

@Kylo Rey It sounds like PTA <3s Rey the most, so that may be who gets a phone call from him for his next project. Otherwise, yes interesting how you have writer/directors like PTA and Jonze who are out and out fans of the characters and their relationship. Which hey, wasn't that RJ back when he first got hired and was able to watch what JJ/Kasdan had written/directed in TFA while writing the story? It's there from the beginning, it's done well, and frankly the opinions of directors like that (and let's not forget that 'feeling the Force together or whatever' was Ava DuVernay's idea) versus SW fandom's typical response.

Yep, it was the top of the hour announcement for Morning Edition the other day. I'll repeat for the millionth time but the whole reason Vader is iconic (and a sex symbol) is because of him and he did it all with his voice, wit, and personality. Like just imagine if they'd done the PT back when he was in his 20s - that would've been amazing. Also the whole 40th anniversary event with Lucas some of ya'll went to, I can understand maybe why Kasdan wasn't there. But no clue why he wouldn't have been there because he's the MVP of the OT.
