The 'if at all' is just Matt covering his back bc spoilers. If he had just said "We'll have to wait for Ep9 to learn the specifics of that" it sounds very spoilery. He had to add the caveat. I agree @Riri, it's very encouraging that he started talking about specifics instead of giving a vague answer when asked about the connection continuing in the last FB on the Falcon.

I'm actually cool with the connection being "metaphorical" until Snoke. I think them feeling connected to each other purely out of their own thoughts and feelings despite the way they met bodes better for a romance than it just being some Force "destiny" machination or what have you. And big dramatic Force destined relationship may turn out to ultimately be the case, but Rey and Kylo connecting on a purely human level will never be bad for us as Reylos.

I have no problems with this configuration of the Force bond. Yes, it's incongruent with the material presented in TFA (mostly the script and databank), but it doesn't damage the relationship at all. Rey and Kylo felt something for each other – I even mentioned a few months ago that I always thought their "mysterious connection" was similar to the definition of Koi No Yokan/:

"Koi No Yokan (Japanese): Koi No Yokan is a truly beautiful concept. It can defined the sense can have upon first meeting another person that the two of them are going to fall in love. In other words, it is the knowledge one has that he/she is going to fall in love with another person. This differs from the idea “love at first sight” in that it does not imply that the feeling of love exists, rather it refers to the knowledge that a future love is inevitable.

Snoke creating the "Force Skype" doesn't change the fact that their feelings were there. It actually helps to show to the audience that both Rey and Kylo are unwitting pawns, that Kylo never tried to manipulate Rey, and that despite Snoke's machinations the connection is still working after his death, which is proof that their destinies are truly intertwined.

I love the fact that Rey and Kylo bond on ordinary human level over their similar experience despite seemingly being totally different - it also carries a message of looking at the things we share rather than the things that divide us and so on (saving what we love instead of destroying what we hate goes well with it too). I believe reylo connection is a mix of both such bonding with the Force stuff but for me it’s not like the Force imposes Its will on the characters and they have no choice over their lives and destinies - more like the Force helped with the opportunity to meet in the first place so that both Rey and Kylo can have a chance to bond over something at all (the Force as a match-maker who arranges the first date and lets the things take their own course). Snoke later does the same thing the Force did albeit with a different intention which totally backfired on him and Rey and Kylo got even closer.

It's not about Snoke having created the Force Skype. I don't care about that.
He downloaded Skype for them, he didn't influenced their conversations.

And I know they can't give away spoilers and have to be careful while answering any questions on twitter or wherever.

But one of my main concern is that Kylo & Rey's connection isn't really a thing anymore in IX. Especially if they go for a huge time jump.
I know it sounds kind of greedy but I want it to be important not just briefly mentioned or whatever.

I wouldn't worry about it. I think we'll not get any more Force Bond sessions like we did in TLJ because they were a plot device that worked in the context of the movie, but I'm 100% sure that they will not drop their connection. Not only it was an unique interaction between a light sider and a dark sider in the SW Universe, it was also the motivator of the turning point of the entire trilogy (Renperor ascension, Snoke dying, the reveal of Rey's Parents, Kylo proposing).

Exactly. Their connection has to remain regardless. JJ has to find a way to make Rey & Kylo interact throughout the movie and not just towards the end. So even though the force bond moments might be different, I am pretty sure there they will have some connecting moments before they meet in person in IX

In the PT it was Palpatine who manipulated events so that Anakin and Padme would end up alone on Naboo. I think he knew Padme would be Anakin's weakness he could exploit down the rode. And indeed he did. Padme and Anakins relationship led to Anakin falling under Palpatine's influence

Snoke was aiming for the same thing. But in this case Rey is Ben's strength. Thanks to her he was able to kill Snoke and free himself from his influence.

Again, the ST seems to mirror the PT and Ben's journey that of Anakin...

Also FWIW, the whole business of asking LF employees via Twitter about a FB and getting coy responses was a pretty hot topic on the very first thread for this forum because of comments like "nothing that says it couldn't happen." So all of this sounds like business as usual and nothing new to be discovered by trying to read the tea leaves.
