Vanity Fair Feature and Lebowitz Photos for The Rise of Skywalker

Finn discovering "who he was" is part of how the different characters mirror each other with similar themes/beats/plot points in support of the trilogy's larger themes. Which for the ST has been Lost/Abandoned/Stolen children for the three leads aka "The Empire needs children." Finn finding out who he is also heightens the tension for Rey, who's searching for belonging/answers but not getting them.

Does anyone know when will the VF reylo article come out today???

I literally said this yesterday in another post:

One of the ST's main themes is duality — both within ourselves and in the world. This is where the 'balance' motif comes from, learning how to solve conflicts and understand the other. Contrasts like "evil vs. good", "love vs. hate", "fear vs. hope", "life vs. death" are present from visual storytelling to dialogue to character arcs.

JJ today:

“They also are, by definition, working on opposite sides of things,” he added. “And so the dichotomy of those characters is the thing that, for me, is most fascinating.”

But what do I know, I guess.

JJ can thank RJ - well he does in the latest interviews - for having set the strong duality two-sides-of-the-same-coin relationship between Rey and Ben in TLJ. RJ handed him over the best configuration to build on whatever degree of Reylo will be in TRoS.

The J.J. quotes are great, but I found myself scratching my head a number of times at the writer’s input.
Rey is not raging? Has the writer not seen the promos?!

They are stark opposites? The J.J. quote accompanying this does not say that!
They are on opposite sides, but they share much in common.
I gotta run but as I kinda expected press about Reylo is only of value to read for the J.J. quotes! IMHO

@DeeBee, I agree. She is angry in every promo I have seen. I think people get caught up with the:
Bad guy: angry
Hero: Not angry

I got an impression that last VF articles (and interviews) were written long time ago, at least one month ago.

Sigh.. Me too. At this point the most we can hope for is to have any sort of joint interview or photoshoot between Adam & Daisy after the movie comes out. I am still holding out till January and see if we finally get something from those two! Pls Disney, LF, one time! Let it happen! I beg you!
