I didn't miss it. In fact, I liked that post because I agreed with it wholeheartedly. I fail to see how ridiculing a thread filled with what I consider to be complete and utter nonsense (not the Kenobi theory itself, just some of the evidence used to justify it) is a personal attack. From what I can see, everybody has been very respectful of the Rey Kenobi files since its inception. Nobody goes in there to disrupt your theorizing or ignite everlasting debates. You guys are obviously entitled to a place where you can discuss your theory as though it's already canon. Outside of the Rey Kenobi files though, people are allowed to disagree with your theories. People clearly have the right to ridicule something they don't agree with. We've all been mocking Rey Skywalker and Rey Solo evidence since December. I've seen Rey Kenobi advocates deride the Rey Palpatine theory. So... what makes Rey Kenobi so special?

And just for the record, saying outright that Rey Kenobi is only obvious once you educate yourself is about as personal as a post can get.

A straw man is a common form of argument and is an informal fallacy based on giving the impression of refuting an opponent's argument, while actually refuting an argument that was not advanced by that opponent

But not ok if people feel they are being told that they don't understand something

Can you not see how that is similar? Either way people feel hurt at the end.

Actually, we're not allowed to do the bolded at all, and I shouldn't have said what I said. I just want this to be over. I hate it. I hate the insinuations that I'm uneducated/stupid for not believing in Reynobi (and yes, that's exactly how I read it), and I get the feeling many others would have read it that way too. I've also been accused of far worse personal things in this thread. I can't do this anymore. This whole topic makes me into an insensitive, rude poster (and I'm not the only one). People are so mean to each other over it.

Of course people are allowed to disagree. I never said they couldn't. However, In most forums it's not usually allowed to get to the point where you call someone's (member of the board) opinions nonsense and crack or lace with insults.

Disagreeing is NOT the same as that.

My lineage theories change more often than a pair of underwear.  I've gone back and forth between both Kenobi , random, and Darkside lineage ever since December 2015 more times than I can count.

That said, I'm seeing Darkside lineage more and more likely ever since Life Debt came out.
