Am I in tinfoil hat territory in thinking LucasFilm is paying them to NOT release anything substantial or earth shattering? I get they have to protect their sources, but enough time has gone by and we are almost 5 months out from the release date. Surely that's enough time to cover their tracks.

Doesn't sound plausible, IMO. They did reveal stuff, that was supposed to be the Celebration exclusive, before the Celebration. LF stooge wouldn't do that.

Right, and I can definitely see that side. However, Lucasfilm knows they're going to leak stuff, big and small, and I'm sure they'd rather see the small stuff leaked over the big stuff. That's what I'm getting at. Anyways, if this sounds far out there (and maybe it does), don't be afraid to tell me. I just wouldn't put it past Big Brother Disney to do something like this...

I don't necessarily think that Jason is knowingly in league with LF. Remember how mad he was when he didn't get his press pass for SWC?

What wouldn't shock me, however, is if LF has a source that's been throwing Jason bread crumbs to more or less keep him off the trail of the bigger stuff. From what I recall, there has been talk in the past of LF deliberately leaking mixtures of correct/incorrect spoilers to keep spoiler-watchers from being able to distinguish the "real" and "fake" leaks.

There are many conspiracy theories, but I think it's just the case of losing sources who worked on TFA and gaining different ones (with possibly less access to plot-related stuff). I don't know how insider business works so this is just my speculation base don the fact that their TLJ spoilers are sourced by marketing and/or costume department. Which proved the most reliable while Ireland eye witness is now a question mark and Dubrovnik one misfired with Luke report (it was just a local impersonator).

Thanks for sharing this - I remember this well. It was from May 2016 - over a year ago. And just like that, we've heard crickets ever since. They are most definitely holding onto something they can't talk about it, or don't feel it's the right time. I too, want to know how they get that point where Rey feels...

Luke's costume change could have a lot of to do with Rey and Kylo.

My point with the breakdown of spoilers were actually to show - that we really didn't get many confirmed FACTS to speculate on the overall plot (expect maybe Finn in FO uniform).

It actually lines up really well with what Rian said to VF and on twitter about there not being a Han/Leia central romance. It's not romance per se, but it is something

It could be romance but- lol no...? Why bring it up (twice! no less) then toss it?
Though it's clearly to clarify that it's not romance (yet) when talking about Rey's feelings ( ) its in reference to Ben/Kylo so... So many questions....

Rey's feelings change about something in regards to Kylo. At the very least she'll see him in a more sympathetic light.

Yes exactly.  And what would be the point of having her feelings change for him if they're not related by blood?  To what end do you have a handsome (if damaged) young man and a beautiful young girl in a story based around fairy tale elements?  I don't think sympathy is all she's going to have for him when this trilogy is completed.

I think MSW wants to make people think they have a lot more insider knowledge than they actually do.

I think Disney and LF have cracked down on workers and it's not them biting at MSW's heels, but rather people aren't as willing to share things with places like MSW for fear of being found out and fired. That also might be why MSW is holding onto what big scraps they have, they don't wanna blow their entire load. The merch stuff is easy, we're seeing Lego leaks all the time now, but real story stuff/substantial leaks are rare. There's also fear of backlash if fans don't like what they hear from those leaks MSW is keeping under wraps, they could just be trying to find a right time or wanting to dole it out slowly. If they had something legit on say Kylo/Rey or Dark Luke they would undoubtedly catch crap from angry fans.
