I think @rianjohnson’s #thelastjedi is a bomb with a slow fuse. I woke up this morning and couldn’t stop thinking about it. Standing there brushing my teeth, I just burst into tears. It’s affecting

It seems like this is very appropriate as Rian's reaction (to at least a certain portion of the fandom):



I swear I saw this on a thread here, but no idea where....
I should also add that I've never seen this movie and I've got nothing on the context.

Gladiator is an epic with a tremendous heart - and I suspect TLJ might be the same.

This is why I wish with all my heart that Rian was writing and directing IX. (I've been thinking this for months & people's reactions to it after they've seen it only confirms this for me).

It means something intense, wild, full of conflict.

They both indicate strong emotion, but tempestuous is more stormy and troubled.

This is just so satisfying.    

I don't want to be petty (too late!) but I am so, so glad to hear that Harloff/Collider weren't thrilled with TLJ. If they had loved it, that would have been a huge red flag for me.

I do want to be petty.  I'm old enough to have seen A New Hope in its first release in theaters.  Advanced age has its privileges.

He seems very unsure. He clearly did not get what he wanted or expected. We're talking about a HUGE Reywalker, anti-Kylo, anti-Reylo, anti-redemptionist here. The more uncertain he is about the movie, the better.

So far Harloff seems to be the only one from Collider who is unsure about the movie. The other responses were overall positive:
