I'm a little confused about why there are so many different threads here. It's going to be really difficult to get a conversation going with a million different places to talk about different topics. Welcome Fizz! | As for the fact that there are many different threads, it's because I particularly wanted to have our thoughts and ideas organized. Yesterday I spent maybe half an hour looking for a musical analysis you developed on the "old JCF Reylo thread" -to post it there- but couldn't find it.

I prefer it this way, with structure, because everything is at hand even though the conversion wouldn't be as flowing as the one of the JCF thread (I concede). And in case this forum attracts many Reylos from all over the internet we won't be going all over the place somehow.

I agree that, in the long run as Reylo gets more popular, a more organized approach will help keep the conversation orderly.

On the old forum I went by Penny Crayon - but felt a name change was appropriate because I'll be honest I thought that name sucked but I couldn't change it

Anyway, glad to be joining what surely is a safe haven from the anti's (fingers crossed) - get enough of them on tumblr etc.

Thank you for being so patient, we're trying to get everything together but please feel free to jump in and add threads (topics) or more suggestions.

The forum IS massive, but I think that's a good thing for in-depth discussion and easy access to awesome posts. It also gives everyone a chance to make it their own, imo.

Berhan has organized the forum into sections. Within each section please feel free to open threads (here they are called topics). For example, for those who want to discuss episode VIII, you can go to the Episode VIII/IX Speculation Forum. I've just created an "episode VIII general discussion" thread there:

Any user could have done it, and more specific threads(topics) can be added if you want. So if you go to any section and you'd like to start a discussion, please feel free to open a thread (topic) there. We will post to make this more clear going forward.

As for places to talk, @FrolickingFizzgig you bring up a good point. I think we need more clarity as to what goes where.

By the way, we are going to make an intro post to make all of the above clear to users who are first arriving.

Let me introduce myself. I don't know what I was drinking when I chose Force22 for username for the JCF. 22 is from numerology, it's one of the special numbers, and Force, is... Force, right? Anyways, the name stuck.

As to this forum, maybe it could be used to organize ideas, and perhaps to socialize? I don't know. I think the main thread on the JCF is going to be all right... But it's good to have a place to vent as well.

My name is martina i live in germany. I have studied english, teaching, manual medicine, i have practised all of these as well.

My main interests are in theology and religion and psychology and their intersections. I'm a very associative person and i find it hard to come to conclusions. A lot of my posts are thinking out loud. You'll get used to it

I love visual arts and i watch a lot of movies because movies are special and precious things to me, star wars is an especially precious thing to me in that pantheon.

Anyway, when i don't capitalise it's because i'm lazy and i'm also using it as a sly tribute to ee cummings who i love.

Hi Frolicking Fizz - Great to "see" you here! I know it's a balance between having too many distinctive subject threads and putting them all in one. Maybe adding a general hangout thread? Sooo nice to have a home for wayward Reylos.

I'll say Hi to all from the Milwaukee area - beautiful sunny day here by Lake Michigan! As a "first generation" SW fan (i.e. I was 9 & my brother 6 when ANH came out), it's been a real joy to see new fans adopt SW as their own; the EU novels, the PT and now the ST - help bring in fans and add to a great mix of people from all over the world!

Now I have to go appreciate my other fictional fixation, Henry Cavill Later ! .

@AnnLouise, to post a pic just open a post and click on the icon that looks a polaroid snapshot with a tiny green + sign on the lower right hand corner. Then post the link in the pop up that appears. You don't need to change the dimensions unless you want to.
Also, yes we are inviting all the Reylophiles from the other place to come here. Hopefully other Reylos will also join eventually.

@Martina: yes, I get sad when RL people don't know my SW quotes.

Ok, I poked my head in a little while back, but I'll do a proper introduction since everyone else is doing so now.

I'm "laugh-it-up-fuzzball" over on The Other Forums. My name is Michelle, and I live in Seattle, WA in the US with my husband and our almost-4-year-old daughter. I'm a technical writer for one of the big tech companies here, meaning that I write articles telling mobile app developers how to use our tools and services.

I've been interested in writing and literature for as long as I can remember. I've also been a Star Wars fan for as long as I can remember--I used to act out the OT on my front lawn with my friends when I was a little kid. I got disillusioned for a while by the PT, but I am starting to come back around on that--I don't think I'll ever find it "great", but I don't hate it like I used to. And I am really, really excited as to where I think the ST might be going.
