GRG is important, in my book, because of what he said about a different poster who claimed to have seen the film. He claimed to have confirmed a few of the claims that the other poster had made. Namely:

1) Rey's parents are FO people who hid her from the FO after she started showing Force ability and were executed for it.
2) That Finn wins a large sum at the casino in Canto Bight (sp.?).

If GRG in fact confirmed the veracity of these assertions with whatever source he has, then that increases the likelihood that the Original Poster, the one who claims to have seen the film, did in fact see the film. That guy, among many things, claimed:
1) Epic Kylo Ren monologue at the end with Rey in his arms.
2) Rey and Ren fight and kiss.  

Very Reylo. A leak so Reylo friendly that I started to hum "You Can't Always Get What You Want" when thinking about it, b/c, come on, there's no way that it really would have so much Reylo goodness.

But maybe it does.

I don't put much stock in rumors, but if it's true that would rock my world. Reylo has always given me Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon vibes. Those two in CTHD fought the #$%! out of each other and were extremely compatible. I can't wait to see Finn in TLJ. He's fun.

Oh YEAASSS to Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and Reylo.  If Kylo steals one of Rey’s hair clips, I think I’d lose it...

Whcih makes it even more apparent that the deeper Rian goes into a character, the more human they become. You have your standard villainous characters like Abe and Snoke who Rian doesn't feel compelled to expand on because they're there to move the plot. That's their only purpose. Then you have characters like Joe/Cid and Rey/Kylo who get put through the emotional ringer and come out of it (hopefully) for the better.

@nemapasara - Absolutely! Even with the typical fanboys sh*ttalking in the comments section about how he'll get eeeeviller and then Rey will kill him (or he'll die sacrificing himself), it's like have you seen any of Rian Johnson's movies? Because he doesn't bother with exploring the humanity of characters unless they're going to go through some type of emotional journey and change. The bad guys, like Abe or Snoke, don't get fleshed out or back stories. And the ones who get some type of characterization, like Kid Blue, mostly are afforded that for the sake of contrast/humor.

@IoJovi @RandomObserver, agreed though I tend to think that it's Kylo/Ben who's Jen (the angry, rebellious, and self-destructive princess)and Rey who's Lo/Black Cloud in that potential scenario. And if they did an ambiguous ending for the ST of where are we gonna go now after everything that happened, it'd probably be like this



As for the Reddit spoiler, that's what I've thought from the beginning - her parents were mixed up with something to do with the First Order and it resulted in Rey's abandonment and their disappearance/likely death. Plus her being told to stay put there, on a place the tie-in books have told us was a critical place at the end of the last war/Imperial secret going-ons, and having repressed her Force Powers. After my first viewing, my brain went in that direction versus thinking she's the offspring of any of the legacy characters. It also is an easy storytelling hook to establish further sympathy between her and Kylo/Ben - he can likely stand how Snoke f*cked up his life, but if things change between the characters that'd be a further impetus for him to finally break from that situation.

we don't love (as much as we love Kylo) and aren't interested in Finn not because he is black (I believe, only they think about Finn's color who has this accusations about racism), but because he isn't as interesting and charismatic character as Kylo ren

They are just butthurt shippers whose ship sunk while LF won't act like their ship still has a chance and throw them a bone. That's all that is. It has nothing to do with social activism but is a pure shipper war like all anti activity anyway. They just think they can get sympathy votes if they make it about something else cause nobody cares about their ship that never left the port. It was over on TFA opening night. LF simply won't encourage a delusion and if that means completely moving from Rey And Finn Are Leads type of marketing they'll do it to stay on the safe side.

IT was never about that Finn isn't a lead or important or whatever. It's that LF is now disassociating him and Rey so that they don't send a false message considering how quickly fans misinterpret everything. Also, Rey and KYlo do have a special connection and destiny together, not Rey and Finn, so that's going to be pointed out in marketing as it should.

Those Twitteratis are the same ones that always throw tantrums when Rey and Kylo are mentioned in the same sentence. The woman was attacking Rian re: relatable Kylo. So it's the same fistful of loud troublemakers, nothing serious.

I think there is a genuine issue with a lot of the handling of Finn that deserves attention - the lightsaber bait-and-switch, the lack of merchandise, Disney bowing to the lack of tolerance in certain markets and pandering in their marketing - but a lot of people, in raising these issues, seem to have made it a Kylo v Finn situation which IMO probably cheapens their argument by making it look like a silly ship thing.

EXACTLY.
These people can't even make a convincing argument about the handling of Finn's character because they've just turned it into a 'Finn vs. Kylo' battle that no one's going to take seriously. It's plain enough that these two male characters serve completely different purposes in the story and can co exist as main characters without one's arc undermining the other's and no one said Finn was less important than Kylo.
There are real issues that need to be adressed like that recent FoD epsiode and the marketing for TFA etc. that used Finn as a bait and switch.
This has nothing to do with Kylo.

I still don't understand this competition Finn fans make between Kylo and Finn, as if it's a zero sum game, where if Kylo is important, it automatically means Finn isn't. Whenever Kylo is mentioned in even a remotely positive way, or in connection to Rey, they seem to get insecure, and see it as an intentional slight to Finn.
