Movieweb says it is from a Star Wars Novel. I don't see a problem with that.. and  all myths are exaggerations that contain a kernal of truth

KEN LIU: I’d been a lifelong fan of Star Wars. Basically, the Lucasfilm folks reached out to me and said they were thinking about releasing some books that would tell the stories about some of the characters to lead up to the next movie.

lead up to the next movie doesn't mean it has to be addressed in the movie. remember Before the Awakening? That book is a sore spot for Finn fans cause he was a star student in the book and then they made him a sanitation in the movie. As Pablo said, movie is the canon.

I think think character is going to end up with that character and I think your proposed pairing is problematic. And offensive.

It's interesting that they're going for a yin-yang effect, and yet both colours are associated with darkness in SW terms. Red even more so than black, after all.

I love it whenever the yin and yang comparisons are brought up! The movie's production name was Space Bear (which was a black and white panda), after all...

As obvious as it seems now, back in the day, a lot of people denied the yin and yang dynamic or thought people who believed in it were reading too much into things.

Red is just all over this movie, period, and I'm sure that there are multiple symbolic meanings to its usage (beyond the obvious blood/bloodline implications). I can't remember any other movie that used red so prominently other than, maybe, American Beauty.

Yep. You can tell the guy is a comedian the way he said Kylo Ren but he was speaking his mind there. Not like it matters anyway.

@rey09 isn't that how Mark first pronounced (by accident) Kylo Ren when they did the TFA table read
