What was your least favourite part of the film, or just a scene that you felt did not quite fit in with the film.

For me....Leia flying was a sort of wtf moment...

Also when Rey is being trained by Luke, the images of the grass growing and showing life (porg babies) made it feel like I was watching David Attenborough

(update coming soon as I think of more)

Chewie cooking the Porg. I mean I laughed but I felt like it was a little bit traumatizing at the same time. Laughing

I am just thinking about that Leia scene - what were they thinking? Was that some kind of joke?

I didn't like Finn with the leaked suit

And of course my mortal enemy - that kid in the end. Very Happy

I'm pretty sure the director or someone at least said last year that Leia would use the Force in this film! Maybe that was it, but it was hella weird, especially for people who aren't familiar with Forum threads or leaked material, the average Joe probably looked at it and felt it was super out of place!

Leia flying scene
==> I really thought that it was only metaphorical of her dying and progressively coming back to life. And then I realize that it was real and I was like WTF. Total BS to remind the fanboys that she is a Skywalker and woman or not she is strong with the Force. But doesn't work for me: too exagerating. Some have even seen her pointing her middle finger and I hope it's not the case because it would be humor of bad taste really.

Rose fangirling Finn
==> f****ing weird and bad acting from KMT there IMO, especially when she holds her breath

Making Ben look like an idiot in Nazi mode, especially in front of his uncle, to please the fanboy

In general, all scenes explaining Ben's background with Snoke and Luke
==> Very frustrating because not enough details about what Ben went through

Same. While I understand what they were trying to say with that scene, I think it was unnecessary. Nope

The kid with the broom was overkill - he just spent 2 hours showing somebody from nothing who's FS and can do great things to help people, Rey. Like I get the point he's trying to make with democratizing the Force, which is the breakdown Rey and Ben have over what they each saw/interpreted with their shared vision. But it's almost like getting that point beaten into you with a broom (har har).

I actually liked the kid with the broom I thought it was cute! Shy Am I the only one?? I didn't understand it though but cute none the less.

I don't like the way the Force is kind of slowly but surely turning into this huge thing!
The Force was in the past something that was powerful but unspoken and simple, now its like something about to develop it's own elements (if it has not already)!

The scene with Luke using the Force was crazy cool! but after having said that it was a little extreme!

Worst scene in the movie, worst scene in 8 movies and possibly among the worst scenes in blockbuster cinema ever: Maz's dreadful cameo. I was embarrassed for actors, for Rian, for myself, for the audience. Words cannot describe that atrocity. It has to be seen to be believed. or, better, skip it. It could ruin your life. Yes, that bad.

Leia Poppins is a neat idea but it just didn't work for her character. I think it would have been ace with a younger, lighter dressed character with loose hair. It should have bee ethereal but ended up like a floating bulk.

I also thought that the whole General Hugs joke was awful. if it was by a young character, like Finn or Broomboi, it could have worked but Uncle Poe? Seriously? Also, they made Poe act like Lil Annie a lot in that sequence "woo hoo!", etc.

Was BDT the character that Maz was talking about?

Maybe?

Anyway the scene with Maz was weird too now thinking back, when she said something about BDT being good at something and she went quiet that was weird as heck!!! that was hinting at something that should not be spoken about

- Luke igniting his green lightsaber above Ben and looking like a complete maniac. It was completely OOC and over the top.
- Luke milking the creature.
- The kid with the broom. Honestly, I almost expected him to climb on the broom and fly around like a wizard.
- I also disliked the excessive Force super powers like Leia flying or Luke's projection. Why is everyone so powerful all of a sudden?
- The whole Resistance plot was dragging and pointless. I would have preferred more time spent on Reylo and Finnrose scenes.

It was him, but to think of it that scene was wierd, because I guess it was supposed to be funny that she is busy shooting while talking, but it wasn't really. Just felt out of the place.

He doesn't really have morals- his moto is don't join, so he chooses the option that he prefers better at the moment. He is working with everyone and really with no one.

Maz was not talking about BDT. She was talking about the "Master Codebraker" who could be found at the Canto Bight Casino, and who wears a red pin on his lapel. Finn and Rose try to find him when they get to the casino but the moment they spot him at one of the tables (he is played by Justin Theroux) they get arrested before they even approach him and they are thrown in prison, where they meet BDT. He overhears their conversation, and says "I can help you for the right price I am also a code breaker", but they do not take him seriously until he unlocks the prison door.

When later Poe asks them with they found the codebreaker, Finn replys 'we found a codebreaker'. (because BDT is a different one than the one they went to find)

Haha, I like most of the scenes mentioned on this thread! Nice to see differences in preferences.

For me, the scene(s) where Poe argues with Holdo irk me.  I like the overall idea of Holdo being wise and Poe not getting it, but I get annoyed by cocky characters like Poe. (Hey, I have mixed feelings about Han Solo, even). But, these scenes were especially silly to me, because the dialogue seemed to be pulled straight out of Top Gun with Poe = Tom Cruise and Holdo = Kelly McGillis.
