Also, it's easy to say "I'm the guy who leaked storyboards for TLJ" cause nobody can prove that it's the same guy.

Btw, I just noticed that the person talks about a "source". So if his information is really based on concept art/storyboards, it's likely second- or third-hand information from someone who has seen it.

We do know that random people hear things from insider sources. For TLJ, there was someone on another forum who was told random things that seemed fake because of the lack of context and his own weird speculation, but turned out to be true. Stuff like "Rey in a holding cell".

OK, so his stuff will be easy to verify cause he insists on re-casting and water planet. re-casting cannot be hidden forever and water planet will leak early if it's indeed a deal (much like Casino).

IMO, this leaker is the same one from yesterday. He's just acting like 2 people to back himself up, hence why posting 1 leak on 4chan and another on reddit.

Yeah I think it's the same person too, as the leaks are incredibly similar. On 4chan they say that a Leia recast announcement is 'coming very soon.' Also, having a large portion of the film taking place on an underwater planet could be incredibly expensive and impractical. I think they've only just started developing the tech with James Cameron's Avatar sequels. I think the live action Disney Little Mermaid film was put off continually for these very reasons.

Leia recast is something several fans have speculated on (including me). I'd say the underwater planet thing is the really unique thing about this leak. And even if we assume we get that underwater world, that doesn't mean he knows the plot details and character motivations. Those were way off even for his TLJ leaks. His Kylo is way too OTT and cartoon evil in both leaks.

I can buy a claim about an underwater planet.

I can buy the essence of what they're saying about the FO and the Resistance and where some of the conflict is going to come from, moles, sources of power, etc.

I can buy a claim about a "recast," but only in the sense that they may need someone as a Leia stand in (like for a body for a funeral, or for a force ghost presence that's only seen from certain angles, or for a flashback that's only seen from behind, etc.).

What I can't buy, as it's written, is the lovechild angle. I think they might have some of the ideas behind Reylo correct by pure happenstance (they can manifest to each other, it's slowly revealed that they're in love, etc.) but there is something this person (or their source) is massively misunderstanding about this "child" angle. That Rey and Ben one day have a family, sure. That something in the film happens that's like metaphorical sex (because we've had a lot of that) that results in a *metaphorical* child, OK. But this literal "they have a lovechild" thing... no. I've told myself to stop being arrogant and assume I know exactly what's going to happen in the next film (because I'm really guilty of that), but this... no. It's not happening the way he says.

Well, if this leaker says there will be a Leia recast announcement soon, it should be easy to see if that pans out. I’m not holding my breath... I just can’t see them recasting Leia.

I think the leaks are very fake and as much as I want Rey and Kylo to get together and have Force babies, I want it after everything is resolved in IX. Also, I’m fairly confident LFL won’t have Rey pregnant or with a child out of wedlock.

please don't take my skeptical reaction to this "leak" as an offense against you.

I'm generally a very skeptical person and always try to look at this "leaks" from the logical POV.

who knows what about the story and why?

How likely is it that someone who read the script this early would leak anything -> very unlikely. They had to sign incredibly strict contracts and why would you risk to violate that when you have so much to loose but nothing really to gain?

Now, of course you have a lot of people working in pre-production - people building sets, costumes looking for locations etc. and those need to least have a look at certain parts of the storyboards or maybe very selected parts of the script.
How likely ist it that any of these people involved would leak anything? Still unlikely but possible. They would make sure they can't be recognized as the source. That means they have to be vague and won't post it personally.

If this source of the leaker have seen some of the story-boards without context it's nearly impossible to get the story together.
You see some locations, yes- but how would you know who the child is and how old? How would you know how many time passed between VIII and IX?
What is a force vision/ flashback and what happens in the present? That child could be a force vision of the future or a flashback from young Ben Solo for example.

And that's why I have difficulties to believe it...

Form a story telling POV it wouldn't make sense either. Why skip the most interesting character dynamics ? Why would you let that happen in the time-skip and not on screen?

This leak is not real and is nonsensical development considering where TLJ left off Rey and Kylo's relationship. They're not going to jump from a brand new connection that broke and is now hanging by a (rather strong) thread between two characters consistently said to represent the adolescent journey to baby mama drama. If this guy gets anything right, it was luck or real information padded in BS. I don't think an announcement of a Leia recast would prove anything since that is something discussed by many fans and is one of only two options Lucasfilm could take, as CGI was ruled out.

I'm just stating the simple fact: he was the only and only leaker pre-TLJ who guessed 70-80% of plot points in Rey-Kylo-Finn storylines. And he did it right after TFA premiere which is the most important part here with being right about Kylo's fate. That's the fact. Sure, he can be wrong, he can be lying right now but FAF? I'm not sure. After Bothan-Spy, he is the best deal we have right now - until someone with real name speak up. We won't have any other "verified" leakers, because we didn't get them for TLJ.

@Kylo Rey I'm replying here cause TLJ Spoilers Archive is only for Archiving Spoilers and not discussion. From what I gather is that the toddler is born out of post TLJ Force Skype sessions. I think that the 4chan leak about toddler casting and this leak about story board are by the same person who wants to look like there are multiple sources.

And I think some of us are just trying to reiterate that someone who had some plot points kind of vaguely correct, but also claimed that in TLJ a) there would be a reveal that Kylo left Rey on Jakku/rescued her from Luke's Jedi camp massacre, and b) that it would also be revealed that Rey is the granddaughter of Palpatine, and is being *weirdly* arrogant about their certainty over what they are kind of claiming to be 2nd/3rd hand information shouldn't be trusted 100%. Like, I think that is perfectly reasonable advice in this situation, or in any spoiler situation.

@nickandnora I don't think such advice is needed in Crack thread. Also, I will say it one more time and will be saying it every time.  Kylo killing Snoke - not returning to the Light - becoming the Supreme Leader is Big. Deal. It's not kind of vaguely correct and never will be - it's very very correct just from few TFA's viewings. Bothan-Spy also hinted that Phasma will be killed in "act of revenge" and that it will have specific context - and it didn't happen. So even the most legit leakers are getting things wrong.
