thanks for replying! well, the leak was right about John and Kelly filming on Aug 2 cause they + JJ + Joonas didn't attend Oscar's charity event.

No problem! It's been a while since I last checked in here, anyway. I imagine we'll have more to work with as the production continues (at least, I hope). And yeah, it would seem so (or they're a great guesser), but I have fun with it and tag appropriately so people who aren't into speculation/spoilers can blacklist it on Tumblr.

Here's hoping Bothan Spy makes another appearance with some goods lol.

??!! Does this indicate that what I read here and there is incorrect? I thought that Bothan Spy was discovered and gulp - terminated/fired?! I am so happy that was incorrect! (I feel mixed about correct leaks - the angel on my shoulder thinks: they signed NDAs!; the devil on the other: I'm a SW fan, and I want to know! It's like finding a Christmas gift in the closet as a kid. teehee Very Happy

OH MY LORD. I swear, if we get some iteration of the "I'll come back for you, Sweetheart. I promise," I will straight up die in the theatre. Is there any reason why they'd go back to Takodana? Is Maz still there?

I know . I will lose it if I hear that line too !
They speculate it could be Takodana but they don’t seem to be sure whether it’s forest or jungle . It’s possible it could be yavin 4 as that’s jungle and wasn’t there a “ leak” about the rebels going back there because they were filming in the same location they used for rebel base in rogue one and new hope? Maybe the final battle showdown is at yavin 4 ? Also the temple might have some revelations too:

Bothan Spy supposedly got canned for the Reddit leak (RIP). And there's no reason to go back to Takodana unless Ben plans on apologizing to Maz for trashing her bar. Or they're getting another tax credit for filming again in the Lakes District and Puzzlewood Forest.

I am only fairly certain about one thing - lol - AITAF's 10th Annual Broadway event is on Monday, November 12th; therefore, Adam will either be done with filming by the first week of November, or will have a break (perhaps a holiday break), from filming until early 2019 from the ~ 1st week of Nov.

He’s filming for a basic cable show set during the Crusades. Its not exactly a stretch for him

The Star Wars actor has signed onto season 2 of History’s medieval drama series Knightfall, where he’ll play Talus, “a battle-hardened Knight Templar veteran of the Crusades, who survived captivity for ten years in the Holy Land and is tasked with training the new initiates to the Order.”

Wonder if his character was betrayed by his angry and ambitious dark knight nephew who maybe works for the bad guy and spends his free time wooing the heroine, a scrappy orphan with a heart of gold who’s from the wrong side of the tracks.

Also looks like they touched up Oscar’s hair so that Poe won’t be salt and pepper in IX.

Editing to add that he did an interview in which he says that he was on set yesterday. Briefly mentions Adam and says that they had a group dinner before filming started. Star Wars talk starts at around 21:50. He doesn't say much because he's too scared Laughing

but he says it's going well.

No contest, FO >>>>>>>> Resistance. Better characters, better everything. FO mini characters (Mitaka, Canady) are more memorable than anyone on the Resistance side. So Epic Hux is in my Top 5 wishes for IX. Domhnall was a mini MVP in TLJ, saved lame Poe joke all by himself. "I can hear you, can you hear me?" lol!

I'm really hoping to see a 'darker' version of the Resistancr in IX, it would make them a lot more interesting. I also want to see Rey having second thoughts about her choice, just as Kylo is already having second thoughts about his. They have to meet in the middle somehow.

Speaking of Mitaka, I wonder how he's doing. Hope he didn't take the Kylo rage too badly. If anyone should survive beyond IX it's him.

To be fair I thought Paige was very memorable in the brief time she had. But yeah no kidding; while the Resistance are a bunch of earnest do-gooders, the FO is a swirling toxic pool of rivalry, fear and pure hate Twisted Evil

My wish list is for Richard E Grant to be an awesomely evil FO officer and for Keri Russell to be basically the SW version of Bellatrix Lestrange.

I've seen objections to Hux elsewhere with "but he's not intimidating enough", but I think he could be a villain like Commodus in Gladiator. Who is sorta weak and pathetic and no physical match for the hero whatsoever, but with a deep reserve of malice and cruelty. I'd be a lot more worried for Kylo if he was a prisoner of Hux than if he got captured by the Resistance, for sure.

I was actually wrong. I misread it as JJ saying Dom return will be epic but it's Dom saying JJ return will be epic. RIP Epic Hux. Crying or Very sad

If Bendemption is the endgame, then unless the final battle is Ben fighting a psychic projection of Kylo Ren, someone other than Ben has to be the final antagonist for the climax of the film. Hux is the only FO guy other than Ben who’s had any character development and is still alive. While they COULD bring in someone brand new (it worked for the Emperor in RotJ, but we’d at least heard of him before then), I don’t think that would have anywhere near the impact.

Exactly. It wouldn't have an impact because that new character wouldn't be set up properly. Emperor existed from the start. We knew in ANH that Tarkin and Vader were working for the Emperor. So he existed somewhere. His was the Empire. Then we got his holo in ESB and finally my Top 3 character made his grand entrance in ROTJ. OTOH, there's no mention of anyone above Snoke anywhere. Sorry Plagueis or Yuzan Vong fans but there's nothing in TFA and TLJ that suggests that there's someone or something else. Heck, all those hints of some powerful threat from Unknown Regions that books are so big on is completely 100% IGNORED in the movies. Therefore, it's up to Kylo and Hux to fill the baddie roles and Kylo is not a classic bad since he's one of 2 main leads.
