Honestly I love the poster more than the trailer. The haters are pressed about it.

I saw it three times on a screen here and it still doesn't feel like enough.

No joke but finding you guys was like group therapy. Because I got slapped upside the head with TFA and was like "did I see what I thought I saw?! I need to discuss this!" and most of the Internet was filled with a bunch of nonsense we're all familiar with. Thank god for this place and not just in the "it's so nice talk to people who are open minded," but "it's so nice to talk to people who've read books and movies and are curious about things." Most of the RL friends I have will just be like "yay Star Wars!" and leave it at that. Or when I start explaining things to them, they'll be like "cool" and move on to another topic. So thank ya'll for humoring my obsessive tendencies about the ST. I don't even think I had anybody as a kid to talk to about the OT.

@vaderito - maybe later, I have stuff to do and heading out to my job later today. But from the noise cancelling headphones, you hear part of Yoda's luminous beings speech when you hear Rey talk about balance and her fingers tracing the tree logo

I agree. There were parts of that now obviously fake trailer leak that I wish were actually in this teaser trailer. But that poster is perfection.

KYLO KYLO KYLO on the poster!!!

Rey on the poster is symbolizing blue and red. Both Luke and Kylo are in red, sinister looking Luke. Rey to me either brings the balance or goes completely different path than Light or Dark.

Guys, on the poster Rey is holding a giant white/purple version of Kylo's crossguard saber.

UGH, that TRAILER. Fantastic! Gives away about 0.Nothing but that's okay. The visuals are stunning and very unique! Also the way they play Rey's theme followed by Kylo's and the word "balance." Good stuff.

Kylo's scar definitely doesn't look particularly gnarly. It doesn't even go up as far as it seemed to when he was originally sliced.

Dude, also that smashed helmet business and scar. She did that to him, he was hiding behind it until he met her and would've stayed behind it if it wasn't for her.

Can someone post the poster here too please?

I actually think Kylo looks sssooooo good! They did not seem to mess him up at all.
By the way there was a lot of whispering in that trailer. Can anybody make any of it out?

It's crazy how everything so far continues to confirm our interpretation of TFA and what many of us have theorized about the direction of Luke's character in VIII. Between this trailer and the poster, I'm still not seeing any signs of pure evil Kylo.

And Kylo's scar is totally what I thought it would be. I knew there was no reason to freak out about it being huge and ugly. It's a "cool" scar.

I have a strong impression I just saw something on the screen we have been talking about for a year.

Also, I have a new head canon - Kylo destroying his mask by himself. Because the interior looks like some FO facility.

Yep. Those are definitely books on a bookshelf. And yeah, the surrounding does look like a gnarled tree root system. 

I wonder where Luke found those books. Are they probably part of the old Jedi artifacts he and Ben used to search for? 

Books in GFFA are like Dead Sea Scrolls in our time, right?

No it's Kylo's, you can see the silver ridges on it

It just got to me, that unmasked Kylo part on the poster is a perfect mirroring of the masked half from TFA. Like the masked Kylo on the header of our forum can easily be replaced with the unmasked Kylo next to Rey

Kylo's eye is fine and we saw it in the image from the panel

So FO comes to Ahch-to or someone from Ahch-to gets off Ahch-to, is chased by FO

As you can see in the second image, the old Jedi scripts (likely those that turned the Jedi lore on its head and caused Luke/Ben schism) are in the Tree.

Okay I'm confused about the Kylo shot in the trailer because though it's in the wrong place, the thing on his face definitely looks like a scar. When you look at gifs of the scene you can see for sure it's not hair. I don't know what to think?

Yep. First one is Jedi Temple on Tattoine destroyed. Aka how Ben turned Kylo.

Second one is Phasma.

Third one is Luke coming out of the Tree. You can see that that wall matches the wall where the Jedi scripts are and that's tree design.

The one with Phasma looks like an interior shot, possibly a hangar or a command center. Maybe this is part of the FO ambush on the Resistance?
