The Last Jedi Countdown

I can't believe Reylo will be canon in about a month. I'm super excited, so I made a Reylo calendar to count down the days until TLJ will be released. Feel free to save it and cross off each day.



(I also made a version that goes until December 31 for those of us who won't be able to see it on the first day, you can find it here)


My calendar looks like this now:



Where I live, TLJ will be in theaters on December 14th, so it's still 30 days away.

I am seeing it on the 14th 8pm UK time. So 30 days and 20 hrs to go!

My calendar looks  like this. In less than one month now (13th december, 9. 45 a.m.), I'll see Reylo becoming canon

Question to administrators/moderators: should we use this thread too once the movie comes out for early discussions with spoiler? I guess we need a thread where we can discuss the movie without spoiling elements to the members who haven't seen the movie yet and don't want to know about it, right    Or should we use another thread    I don't think I would spoil much anyway in order to let people discover it

Mod Note-Hey everyone, in case you missed the staff announcement last week regarding our upcoming plans for the forum with the release of TLJ here it is again:

We have been preparing for the rush of spoilers we can expect to hit the fandom in the weeks leading to the general release of The Last Jedi on December 15, 2017, and the expected initial screenings in the week of Friday December 8, 2017.

We are aware of the concerns of members who would like to remain active in the forum in the weeks prior to the TLJ film premiere, but who would also like to be shielded from spoilers. We also would like to consider those fortunate enough to see TLJ as early as possible, and who would like to be able to discuss all aspects of the film with their peers in the forum who are so inclined.

In order to meet the needs of our community, we would like to announce a forum reconfiguration as follows:
Starting on the week of November 24, 2017 we will open the following sub-forums for discussion of The Last Jedi:
The Last Jedi: MOVIE SPOILERS DISCUSSION Sub-Forum
The Last Jedi/Episode 9 Speculation: NO MOVIE SPOILERS ALLOWED Sub-Forum

The TLJ Movie Spoilers Discussion Sub-Forum will contain threads/topics for detailed discussion of events in the film and future directions of the story and fandom, including discussion of meta/cinematography/plot, reviews and fan reactions, podcasts, fanart/fanfiction, media articles, Tweets and other social media items. Confirmed spoilers originating from the movie will abound in this sub-forum.

The No Movie Spoilers Allowed TLJ/Episode 9 Sub-Forum will be a movie spoiler-free zone. It will still welcome in depth speculation about The Last Jedi and beyond.

• This forum will have a thread/topic called The Last Jedi Q&A, where forum members wishing to access specific spoilers prior to personally seeing TLJ may interact with forum members who have seen the film in order to asks questions that will be answered under a spoiler tag.
  
• Aside from the Q&A thread, no information originating from the movie will be allowed in the No Movie Spoilers TLJ/Episode 9 sub-forum. That includes meta/general discussion/fanart/fanfiction/Tweets and other social media posts.
  

Approximately 6-8 weeks following the release of The Last Jedi, once everyone has had the opportunity to see the film, we will plan to merge both TLJ discussion sub-forums into one, and will open a separate Episode 9 Speculation Sub-Forum. Until they are merged, our staff will carefully monitor both TLJ discussion sub-forums in order to assist our forum members in keeping spoilers from making their way to the spoiler-free areas.

I bought two Advent calendars this year - one for Christmas and one for TLJ I'll be watching the film on 15th of December

I'm going to have to do my countdown in secret as I'm seeing midnight showing on Dec 13th/14th and not told my son who will be totally mortified as I told him I wouldn't. But such is the power of Reylo I found my hand hovering over the 'see it first button' and then of course I will have to feign total ignorance when I take him on Dec 15th. Bad mom I know.

It's now 29 days for me. Still too far away.

This time next month I will have seen The Last Jedi... I can hardly believe it. So near and yet so far away!

Damn this is so emotional...Gotta say, it feels so great to be part of this amazing community. We stuck with each other every day for *two years* and we will have 2 more after!! we are a remarkable group!!

In four weeks (!!) we will be in the theater to see Reylo become canon.
It has been an amazing two-year journey!
Right now my plan is seeing it Thursday evening first showing, then taking off work the next day and seeing it again. Even if I wasn't seeing it again I would have taken the day off because I would be so distracted.

I know right? I am so excited! I wish I could see it on Thursday but I am going to have to wait till the 16th. Sigh.

Yes, me too. I have tickets for Dec 13th/14th, midnight and for 15th. I'm so giddy these days, I keep thinking about the movie, the things we know and the things we can only suppose and I'm so ready to get surprised.

I just bought my ticket (better late than never . I couldn't do it before because they weren't on sale yet   ) for Thursday, 14th.

Wahh I probably will watch TLJ couple days/week after it release.. Dec 14th is my graduation day (plus my birthday) so I will focus to that.. It's beautiful gift that I got TLJ and graduated from Uni this year as bday gift..

Reylo happen will make my bday more perfect.. But I won't expect haha

Congratulations on both your graduation and your birthday! That is very exciting! And then later you will get dessert with the movie.

December 14th can't get here fast enough! being excited is an understatement at this point

I'm having surgery on the 12th, so I'm not seeing it until the 15th; we are going to the 12:30p show that afternoon. It's the first showing in the RPX theatre (IMAX size screen, reserved seats, 2D) that day. I was hoping for earlier, but alas, no.

I doubt I'll be up for it on the 14th - I will have just gotten out of the hospital on the 13th! But I'm just sitting there; maybe I could handle it....

I'm seeing it at 11pm on Thursday December 14th with my husband. And I'll probably go back for the earliest showing on Saturday December 16th by myself to analyze more deeply after the initial overwhelming viewing. And then again over the holidays with various family members. I'm thinking at least 4 times in the theater lol
