I'm old though...for me it was a call-back to the original trilogy and I literally laughed out loud. Luke finally sounded like the Luke I loved 20+ years ago. Heh.

My sentiments exactly. It made me all nostalgic.

OK, here’s a theory— what if Rey has been disarmed, so Kylo throws her his saber and retrieves hers (from whoever has it), which is the legacy saber of his family. And this time not because it’s a Darth Vader relic, but because he’s done with being Kylo Ren, so he’s done with the unstable red saber?

I KNOW RIGHT. I mean, you don't have to be a shipper to see something happening between two characters. It's the reason I was so startled and surprising after I knew about antis, etc.

Absolutely! They are hitting you over the head with it in these trailers. The chinese trailer was very straightforward, too.
I never considered myself a shipper, but when I watched TFA, I knew there was something going on.

Anyway - the trailers are beautiful!

I must admit that my old heart melted as well.

I can't believe, just one week and we will have some all answers. I try not to look in the spoiler thread, but I keep going there and reading, not reading, too afraid to know everything, but to anxious to know nothing. These last days feel like a rollercoaster. May the force be with us.

Me too, and I suspect that we'll see Luke's old heart melting in this movie, and some of his old humor and hopefulness return. And honestly, I could see R2 and Chewie having a lot to do with that.

More war scenes, but nothing truly special.

@colibri I agree with you, but there's a huge chunk of me that's terrified, and I mean terrified, that I'm seeing it all the wrong way....

Does anyone else think Rey has a weird look on her face when she catches the saber and that the whole set looks like American Bandstand in 1961?

Without a doubt. I'm glad we'll be seeing a little one-on-one interaction between Luke and R-2. Those two go waaayy back and it's nice to see an acknowledgement of that relationship. Hopefully Chewie too. I still remember how Chewie grabbed Luke in a goodbye hug on Hoth in TESB.

I love R2's little attitude. I want to know what he said that made Luke scold him!
