Re: ARCHIVE: Rey's Lineage Discussion II - 2
I picked up the 2017 Star Wars annual early, and it has some interesting bits with potential ramifications for Rey's lineage/background/destiny:
- "I don't know why, but there's something about lightsabers that makes me uneasy."
- "We know that Rey is awaiting the return of her family, but who are they? And with her Force powers self-evident, what is her connection to the Jedi Order and Luke Skywalker in particular?"
- "We are led to believe that Luke is the last surviving Jedi. But with Rey showing incredible Force skills, is she ready to become a Jedi herself?"
@nonesuch
Awesome, thanks for that. Implies her family is important, implies links with the Jedi order, implies link with saber and with Luke, l(or all 3 together)
Good find

Maybe someone killed someone in her family with a Light Saber

Re: ARCHIVE: Rey's Lineage Discussion II - 2
I always remember Daisy saying she doesn't think Rey will become a Jedi. Of course, Daisy might simply be misdirectioning, but I have a feeling that something will turn her against the order myself.

She probably won't be, I agree.
I think they are implying she has a connection with the Jedi order (the one from the PT I'm assuming) there is no Jedi order anymore, Luke is the only Jedi.

Re: ARCHIVE: Rey's Lineage Discussion II - 2
It's the look on Luke's face that stays in my mind. He just doesn't seem happy to see Rey at all. It's almost a look of despair.
Certainly not the look you'd give your long lost daughter. In fact, it's as if he's horrified.
Contrast this with the fascination Kylo shows. He looks at Rey as if he's been waiting for someone like her all his life. While Luke looks as if she's the last person he wants to see. One attracted, the other...repulsed.

Lol
To Luke she resembles someone asking him to come back to the fight, he seems to be refusing it
To kylo, if he's seen her before, I think he's been waiting for her for a long time, much more embracing of the call for sure.
But Rey is opposite, rejected ren but embraced helping Luke.

I really am starting to think that he may have had visions about her before. And possibly not very good ones, which might point to interesting struggles in Rey's future!

Not long I'm guessing
I think her feelings towards Luke will change, possibly more negative? Whilst the will grow more positive with ren?

Absolutely, at the moment Rey sees the world in black and white. And so does Finn...I have so many 'disappointed in our heroes' feels concerning Rey and Finn.

@BastilaBey
Remember how you were asking for opposite gender cousin/cousin rivalries in coming-of-age fiction? Well, I totally forgot about an actual legitimate example. And it's in Naruto of all places. It just didn't cross my mind until @Darth Dingbat pointed out the similarities between the story and Reywalker's favourite headcanon. Â

- Spoiler:
As with the few other examples people have named, they grew up together, and their rivalry is largely one-sided on Neji's part and is entirely based on a pre-existing rivalry between their fathers (who happened to be twins) and the hierarchical nature of their clan, which named Hinata's father/Hinata more important than Neji's father/Neji because one son was born slightly before the other. Neji was appointed a sort of guardian to Hinata because of his rank, while Hinata is considered the "princess" of the clan. He was jealous of her when they were children and blamed her and the "main household" for the death of his father.

Good find
After Order 66 the Jedi order ceased to exist, and Pablo says Luke's school is not a new order or Jedi academy... And since most of the Jedi were murdered and considered extinct by the Empire, that leaves little option for her connection

Actually that leaves only two jedi that we know of in canon- Obi-wan and Vos. One definitely survived order 66 and the fate of the other remains a mystery (although he survived in legends, left the jedi order, was in a committed relationship and had a child).

@Gemini
Don't worry about googling......Quinlan Vos- protagonist of the canon novel Dark Disciple, was in TCW (season 2), present in the Phantom Menace, mentioned in Revenge of the Sith, Jedi Master and pretty much the lead character in the 83 part SW Republic series of Legends....also, one of the 5-6 important jedi mentioned in the Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia (canon)....I hope it helps....lol

House Kryze and Viszla united???
I'm a firm believer that Korkie Kryze will turn out to be Rey's father. However, I haven't seen too many theories as to who her mother could be as well. That being said I think her mother will turn out to be Sabine Wren. Her name, Sabine, comes from a Roman myth where the Sabine women were kidnapped and forced to marry into rival families, thus uniting the Sabine and neighboring warring people. If she married into the Kryze House it will unite the two warring houses (Kryze and Viszla) as well as the people of Mandalore. The merging of the two powerful families might help to create a coup to overthrow the Empires hold on Mandalore as well.
Also, there was an interview with Tiya Sicar (the actress who voices Sabine) recently where she said that Sabine has responsibility to her family/people that she will have to face up to in season 3 of Rebels. It's a responsibility that she has been running away from. I'm thinking it might be an arranged marriage she could be hiding from.
What do you all think?

I don't know who Viszla are but I also think korkie may be reys father.
It's interesting to see this theory has reached further places and others have come to a natural conclusion.
I don't watch rebels though so may not be able to share much opinion on certain parts of your theory.

interesting theory, I think Korkie just might be Rey's father, but I don't think Sabine will be her Mother, tons of suspicions about where and what Korks might be doing.....its a mystery

Re: ARCHIVE: Rey's Lineage Discussion II - 2
Welcome @TheBastardofMandalore ......
Just a heads up- all discussions and debate relating to Rey's lineage belong to the lineage thread here:
http://reylo.skyforum.net/t400p500-rey-s-lineage-discussion-ii
Information/discussion specifically relating to the Rey Kenobi theory can be posted here:
http://reylo.skyforum.net/t202p750-the-rey-kenobi-files
Discussions relating to SW Rebels belongs to the Takodana Woods:
http://reylo.skyforum.net/f16-takodana-woods
The angle of Sabine being Rey's mother is interesting and am sure there will be people wanting to discuss/debate this possibility so am moving this post to the lineage thread.

That is an interesting possibility since Sabine has a confrontation with her cousins for some reason in season 3 and Bo-Katan is going to appear as well- there are many who feel Sabine is Bo-Katan's daughter (biological or adopted)....do Mandalorians follow the concept of arranged marriages? Ezra and possibly Wedge are going to be heartbroken if that happens.

Sabine is not Bo's kid, that has already been cleared up by Filoni, Sabine's mother is a member of Night Owls
