Rey is bathed in light in the forest when he looks like he is whispering in her ear.
She is bathed in light in the interregation scene and also while on the Juliet balcony when he kills his father. She is the light that will seduce him.
Her name is Rey= Ray of light. Can it be anymore obvious

I was noticing the rays of light shining down on her in the forest just last night when she meets Kylo for the first time. Great catch!

Meh I highly doubt Ep VIII will release anything around the same time as RO's release. They are going to ride that train through the holidays and then maybe, MAYBE, we will get an Ep VIII crumb in the winter.

Still thinking the title will be either along the lines of "Rise of the ____" or "Shadow of the (something)"

FWIW, in the Steele Wars podcast interview with Anthony Breznican, he also said that he highly doubted that we'd get any sort of an Episode VIII title or teaser while Rogue One was out.

I remember Luke is Kylo Ren theory. That was the best theory, like Mark Hammil grew so much since ROTJ.

Rey being Skywalker is too easy and as people said here. They wouldn't add sexual undertones to Kylo and Rey scenes. Luke and Leia kissed but that was more of innocent thing. Not to mention how Daisy brought up Reylo herself in the interview, or liking Reylo stuff on instagram. If it is that repulsive, then why liking it? I wouldn't be surprised if we're going to see Reylo being dropped by cast more often and just watch press tour for Episode VIII.

We suspect that the film may show us some of Kylo Ren, General Hux, and Phasma meeting with Snoke after the destruction of Starkiller Base. It has been confirmed that the film begins mere moments after Star Wars: The Force Awakens. With a lot of the film taking place on Ahch-To where Rey and Luke are, it seems as if we might get the juxtaposition of Luke and Rey between Snoke and Kylo. It would seem the puppet Snoke would be more powerful and interesting to look at than a CGI character, of which audiences are continually critiquing the visuals.

I would start getting the impression they have no idea what's going on, if I hadn't been getting that same impression for a while now...

I don't see how it contradicts it all. That meeting between Snoke, Kylo, Hux and Phasma could very well happen at the very beginning of the movie and the KoR crash not so long after. Between that, from the other tidbits we heard about, we know Rey is going to become more sympathetic towards Kylo, and I suspect it might something about his past. I could see this being all Act 1.

@darth dingbat Haha, I know right? I guess they must have heard something to suggest that crash would be the opening, but don't see how they'd know that already. It's possible that Rian would play around with the timing of events, but things could easily get confusing for a mass audience.

At least here we have close to a confirmation that Kylo shares scenes with Hux and Phasma, and that Snoke is probably not that gallius rax person people were speculating about from Aftermath. Wonder if we'll get some of that compassion dialogue before Snoke sends him off to hunt down Rey...

@Irina de france It contradicts it because they'd previously suggested the crash could be the actual opening scene. It could still be in Act One, of course, but that's slightly different.

@DarthDingbat Well, considering it is official news Episode VIII starts straight after TFA, Kylo sure got better real fast if it opens with the crash... unless there was a gap between his defeat and Rey leaving for Ahch-To.

The way I interpret it is that unlike those false Reddit rumors, Kylo coming to Ahch-To won't happen in the third act. Adam Driver spending a lot of time filming for that afterwards basically confirmed it.

As far as contradicting the crash on Ach-To, I don't think this contradicts this at all.  I guess the only thing it calls into question is timing. The movie won't be opening with it, but the rest is plausible. The way I was picturing it (and this is purely headcanon) is Snoke having a discussion with Kylo (accompanied by Hux and Phasma) prior to him leaving for Ach-To.  We don't know if Snoke sends him to Ach-To, or if this is purely of his own volition.  There's two ways this could play out.  Snoke could tell Kylo to leave it the hell alone and he goes anyway (that would be totally within his character), or Snoke orders him to go, believing he won't be swayed to come back to the light by Luke or Rey given the deed he has done.

This is what I expected too, especially since Kylo needs some time to heal. He could be getting his bacta dip on the way to Snoke, talk with Snoke, and then move on from there.

But I'm starting to get skeptical of everything MSW says now. That seems like more of a logical assumption of a scene that would happen than a theory based on actual information.

It makes me wonder how much Rian Johnson will be playing with time jumps, back and forth. I know that's never been done in Star Wars, but there's a first for everything... If that is the case, it would indeed make obtaining real spoilers on MSW's part that much more difficult...

@zioren I noticed that language choice too...I don't want to believe msw are being tempted to pretend they know more than they actually do. I like Jason and respect the work msw do. But it might be that they feel under pressure now to provide 'details' for things they don't actually have information on. If they're doing that, they need to be careful because inevitably it will come out that they've got things wrong. But the puppet details seem solid.

Guys, it's the First Order corporate retreat Hux has been planning. He has a killer Powerpoint slidedeck about his 10 step plan to destroy the Resistance and dominate the Galaxy. If only his a**hole coworker's parents hadn't blown up SKB and then said jerk also allowed the traitor to escape because he was too busy chasing after the girl he tried to sneak on board. It's gonna be like The Office in Space!

Personally I'm curious if a) he got the map from her while feelin' the Force and b) how much Snoke is able to figure out about what went down with Rey other than her being strong af in the Force and a new enemy. I'd tend to think that the "kill your father" order is a test of "how much of a dumbass is this kid that he'll do anything I tell him to do?"

I think kylo will go to the island very early in the movie because he tells one of the troopers " she's just beginning to test her powers, the longer it takes to find her the more dangerous she becomes."
