Sorry, I'm not done fangirling yet...

I can't think the marketing department would allow both movies to use 'Force'. It makes it hard to differentiate VII and VIII in the minds of the GA. And in the ST/PT, the second movie title related to the enemy - Clones, Empire.

Anyone know when those 2000 patents were taken out? I know with perfumes, big companies patent lots of names years in advance just in case. Fairly likely Disney patented several names for VII, including for endless merchandise.

I don't know, but that impressive list of goods and services sure looks like it's going to be a film. Only the films have such extensive lists.

With TFA, they did that right before the title was announced... and didn't a teaser come out soon afterwards or what?

Weird thing, by the way: I seem to have developed some kind of a Reylo sixth sense. I was already in bed, and suddenly thought "hmm, something has happened, must go online"

In the article I posted earlier about Snoke being a physical effect or a visual effect they mentioned that they expect to have the title and the first teaser around January or February - so not to overshadow the release of R1 - which is understandable.



Just did a spot of googling to see if anything else out there has used Forces of Destiny as a title before and came up with:

La forza del destino - which was an opera by Giuseppe Verdi about a young noble man and woman who fall in love, tragedy strikes, she goes to a monastery and he joins the army.  There's some fighting and a tragic ending

Oh and a film that came out in 2015 about finding love while on the organ transplant list.  But that was actually Force of Destiny just like the opera!

But if this is the title, we're getting it sooner - official title announcement at least, if not the teaser. Because they always know they can't keep trademark registrations secret for long.

Destiny would certainly hammer home the point to Rey that she's stuck with this gigantic emo dummy. Or at least that he's going to keep following her around. What's the chat up line some of you have mentioned from the talking plush doll about how "you can't fight it" that sounds cheesy as Hell, like "babe you can't fight destiny.?"

Also now I'm wondering if there are any hair care tie ins (that'd be a sign for sure it's for real) or anything to do with family planning (in case things really get interesting when they're stuck together on a remote island planet).

I'm bringing this back to the top as it's more than appropriate for this evening's events:

Really curious about poster for new movie. Last one had Rey's stuff and Kylo's crossguard lightsaber as parallel to each other. Wonder what they're going to do with them in another poster. Forces of Destiny of something with destiny alludes to two most prominent characters, Kylo's training with Snoke, Rey with Luke etc. It would fit nicely.

Remember how we were stoked about the possible Ways of the Force title? (which hasn't been used yet, I think, btw - the amusement park thing will probably be something connected with Episode VIII)

I think we all agree that Forces of Destiny, if true, wins the Reylotastic award of the year, right?

I mean, good Lord, that title is pure cheese. It's goddamn cheddar, that's what it is.

Forces of Destiny lol that is so cheesy. I guess we get used to whatever it is. Apparently people weren't so hot on TFA when that was first announced?

Does seem weird to have 'force' two titles in a row, but ding is right, it's not normal to file for copyright for such an extensive list unless you're actually planning on merchandising the sith out of it.
