Let her be Luke's daughter. I don't care either way. The backlash will be funny to watch. So many are invested in Rey being Luke's kid. This will gut them. I look forward to their tears.

If Daisy did chemistry screenn test with John and Mark and not Adam. Does this suggets Reylo wasn't really planned by JJ, KK and others. Usually any pair would have had chemistry screen test.

Interesting info for sure (if legit).
What I find the most interesting bit is a screen test with Mark.
I don't tend to think that everything is automatically fake on reddit. (I do remember some of the things that were legit for TFA)
The main problem with Reddit leaks is that is very hard to know what is legit and what is fake.

Sometimes, the chemistry screen test stories do bug me. Indeed why do we never hear about one between DR and AD? Even if I still do not believe in a fully fledged Reylo and only an open end, I would still expect a chemistry screen test. But I suppose they would't want us to know about it and maybe that was the final test that got DR the job.

Daisy and John had a alot of scenes together in TFA, KMT and John in Episode VIII. But Adam didn't? I mean even if it was dynamic villain and hero or cousins btw I don't think Rey is a Skywalker but in any case. Especially for romances you kinda need chemistry but Adam and Daisy do have a natural chemistry. FinnRey has been specualted and KMT was rumoured to be love interest for John's character. Wonder why not Adam and Daisy chemistry screen test.

On second thought. I don't think she'll end up being Luke's daughter. That would make Rey most likely a random. She would be overshadowed in her story. So no kids for Luke.

Re: ARCHIVE: Discussion: Spoilers/Rumors - 12
Since Bloodline confirmed that Rey was dropped at Jakku very young. Years before massacre at Luke's academy. Why would Luke the guy who went to good lengths to redeem Vader and not concerning with civil war let his only daughter rot at Jakku? She would be with him or elsewhere on nice place. Besides Unkar Plutt is not exactly best babysitter. Luke would look like a bad father if he dropped her and as Maz said that her parents are in the past, belonging is further ahead with Skywalkers. Basically Rey is someone very important but not a Skywalker. She'll help Luke, Kylo knock some senses and work towards saving the galaxy. Besides Kylo being the only Skywalker is nice thing, not only a hero like Luke was in Originals so he has to be redeemed so Skywalker line can continue.

Re: ARCHIVE: Discussion: Spoilers/Rumors - 12
I'd bet money Ridley and Driver had a chemistry read that hasn't been mentioned.
Romantic, bloodthirsty enemies, siblings, long lost cousins from Luke's one night stand with a coven of Nightsisters... doesn't matter. Kylo and Rey are the central dynamic of the trilogy. They had a chemistry read.
I am confident in this because when I did stage, all important interacting roles had chemistry reads. Chemistry isn't limited to sexual/romantic. BUT. If you act with someone whose character is supposed to be related to yours but your chemistry with the other actor is sexually charged, they are NOT going to give you that role. (Barring a situation like Game of Thrones.) Case in point, a former boyfriend and I requested to familial scenes and got denied because we had sexual chemistry on stage and that would be, in the words of our director, weird and confusing for the audience. So we always did romantic pairings together instead.
But anyway, no matter the nature of Rey and Kylo's relationship, as the central protagonist/antagonist pairing, I'd eat my left sock if they didn't have a chemistry read.

Well, the thing is...
Kelly did a chemistry test with John.
Daisy was cast before John, so John did a chemistry test with Daisy.
The timeline with Adam is a bit muddled, probably deliberately so, but we do know they had him in mind for a long time before Daisy's casting. So I would assume Daisy tested with him, we just haven't been told about it.

KMT started off on YouTube too (CollegeHumor).
Actually I'm starting to believe that people who are serious about acting should indeed turn to YouTube, make some content/online series of their own. It just offers far more opportunities (and also offers money - a guy with about 80.000 subscribers said he earned about 5k per month) than Hollywood or worse, theater acting (for the average non-star actor at least).

We can't assume there was no chemistry test between AD and DR. We don't know everything and I doubt that production people on a lower paygrade(the kind that usually leaks spoilers/rumors) are privy to all details as well.
If Reylo is the biggest twist there is in this trilogy, you can bet that only the important people know everything.

I read an interview where Adam revealed that he didn't have to pass a Standard audition like DR and The others new actors. KK had
suggested to J.J. Abrams to chose him. So Adam was only asked to record one Single line from The Script and send it to J.J. Abrams because both of them were in different cities were very busy. And that was all what je ja to do to get The role. What I find interesting is that
1. Contrary to other actors, Adam wasn't given a line from another script like Pride and Prejudice but a line from The TFA script itself
2. When The journalist asked him which line it was, Adam answered that he woud prefer to let J.J. Abrams reveal it. So which line so you think it was? I would bet: "You know I can take whatever I Want?

personally, i think it's "I'm being torn apart."
any guy could nail the 'take whatever' line, but the torn apart line is such a pivotal and emotional scene that JJ probably knew only Adam could deliver it the way he wants to.

Re: ARCHIVE: Discussion: Spoilers/Rumors - 12
Rian Johnson did a short interview with Empire Film Magazine (UK) and was asked the following question:
Name three non-Star Wars films you watched in preparation.
Rian's answer: Twelve O'Clock High was a big touchstone, for the feel and look of the aerial combat as well as the dynamic between the pilots. Three Outlaw Samurai for the fell of the sword-fighting, and the general sense of pulpy fun. And To Catch a Thief, was a great film to re-watch, for the romantic scale and grandeur.
Now we knew about Twelve O'Clock High and Three Outlaw Samurai but I'd not heard To Catch a Thief before, has anyone else?
Here's the trailer for To Catch a Thief:
It's billed as a romantic thriller.
Now why would Rian need to be watching a film that depicts a romance between a bad boy (Cary Grant) and a mischievous woman (Grace Kelly) in association with Star Wars???

I wonder which other actor beside Eddie Redmayne auditioned for Kylo Ren role.
I think that line was most likely in scene with Han or Rey. These were pivotal moments for Kylo. Key persons.

I agree. While I think Daisy was chosen as Rey for many reasons that have nothing to do with Adam, I still think JJ and the casting people needed to make sure she acted well against Adam. There must have been some kind of evaluation of how they would play off against each other considering the way their roles are being set up in the ST (regardless of whether it's romantic or not). I wouldn't be surprised if chemistry tests were kept secret (for now) since the nature of their relationship is still a secret. I mean, TFA's marketing didn't hint at anything between Rey and Kylo and we know what a surprise their scenes and chemistry were in TFA...I don't buy that JJ didn't take into consideration how they played off against each other and didn't see how intense it was. Imo, it was not familial chemistry.
For example, there is no mysterious connection/relationship between Rey and Finn so I'm not surprised that the casting history between Daisy and John was fully revealed. The fact they had chemistry reads between Daisy and John suggests (other than their characters spend a lot of time together) that the characters' relationship is not supposed to be romantic/sexual, but rather fun and friendly because chemistry reads would have revealed that Daisy and John have really fun, BFF chemistry, not intense or sexual chemistry. Just look at their marketing interviews and the way they interacted in TFA, that BFF chemistry is apparent. I wonder what chemistry tests between John and KMT revealed? I'd love to see them do interviews together for Episode VIII's marketing.... see if we can get a hint of the nature of their chemistry together.

To Catch a Thief, eh? It's set in the Riviera and Monaco, so my immediate thought was that it has something to do with the Dubrovnik plot. Somehow Hitchcock seems a more fitting inspiration for that side of the film than the Ahch-To side. But we'll see... it's been years since I saw that film; must re-watch.

I think I watched To Catch A Thief - but it was that long ago that I don't remember anything.
However, it's the first time after J.J. Abrams spoke of Star Wars as romance at ComicCon 2015, that someone mentions the romance in the context of ST.

I went ahead and read about it on Wiki. Maybe it's just how it was so blandly summarized in text, but the romantic premise doesn't do anything for me. I don't find Grace Kelly's character particularly interesting, but here we have Cary Grant's John Robie who's anm retired catburglar/criminal doing his best to clear his name.
Now I can see comparisons between Kylo and John, but there's also Frances who's still willing to forgive John despite all that he's done. Could that be it for Rey as well? Although I really hope there's more groveling and repentance in Kylo's part before it comes to that.
ETA:
12 o'clock high -> Resistance politics drama
3 outlaw samurai -> Achc-To plot
To Catch a thief -> possibly FinnTrann romance?

To be honest, I can't remember anything much about Grace Kelly's character except that she's a rich girl fascinated by a criminal - a woman who wants excitement in her life. I can't remember her having anything in common with Rey...
But I could actually imagine it applying to FinnTran, either in a straightforward fashion (KMT's character is a rich girl who wants excitement) or else with the genders reversed (she's a reformed bad girl whom Finn develops a romantic fascination with).
Or else, as is more likely with all or most of these film inspirations, Rian took inspiration from scenes here and there and not the storylines themselves...

I'll say that's the most probable guess.
